Valemount and McBride Clinics

Valemount and McBride Clinics

Our team supports several remote communities where eye health services are not available. Patients who are unable to travel now have the opportunity to be seen by an optometrist.

Dr. Loose can diagnose refractive errors (the need for prescription glasses) and eye diseases as well as monitor patients who are diabetic. Our onsite optician fits frames and dispenses corrective lenses for each patient’s needs.

This year we have done 2 trips, one in January and again in May.

Feel free to call our office if these services would be beneficial to your community.

Fun and Learning

Fun and Learning

We had our annual “fun and learning” day.

The morning was spent setting goals and collaborating on ways to improve our practice. Kim and Dr. Loose then gave a lesson on Scleral Contact Lenses, where staff had an opportunity to have one inserted on eye.

In the afternoon we went to the SPCA where we made a donation to the shelter and spent some time with the animals. We finished the day with a stop to the ice cream stand where we enjoyed a treat and the beautiful weather!
