At Envision, our mission is to deliver high-quality vision care through the knowledge and skills of our unified team of professionals. Our business is about you and your unique vision needs.

We take pride in being locally owned and operated. Our office supports many local sports teams and charities that benefit our community and surrounding areas. At least yearly, our team makes the trip to remote locations to provide eyecare to people in need – most not able to travel the distance to an optometrist.

Dr. Brenton Loose – Optometrist

Dr. Loose graduated from University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry (Beta Sigma Kappa Honour Student) in 1998 and returned to Prince George in 1999. Optometry had been his goal since grade 10 while attending D.P. Todd Secondary School. As a developmental optometrist, he has additional training and special interest in resolving visual dysfunctions related to eye teaming, eye tracking, lazy eye, double vision, traumatic brain injuries (concussions) and visual perceptual skills that affect reading, achievement in school and every day life activities. He also has a keen interest and certified training in specialty contact lenses such as multifocal, rigid gas permeable, orthokeratology lenses (Overnight Corneal Reshaping) and scleral lenses.

Dr. Loose enjoys working with the Envision team and offering comprehensive and specialized vision care. He enjoys the outdoors with his wife Tami, and their four daughters. Some of their favourite activities in beautiful British Columbia are canoeing, fishing, alpine hiking, snowshoeing and four season camping.

Dr. Wale is a recent graduate from Arizona College of Optometry. He grey up in the Vanderhoof area and has always enjoyed the Northern BC lifestyle where nature is always steps away from your backdoor. After completing high school he pursued an undergraduate degree in biology at UBC Okanagan in Kelowna. During this time he fostered a love for anatomy, physics and psychology which all cross paths in the world of optometry. After completing his undergraduate degree he began shadowing at Envision Eye Health Clinic with Dr. Loose whose mentorship encouraged him to enter optometry school. During his training in Arizona Dr. Wale developed a connection with providing focused, compassionate care for patients of all ages and demographics. His practicum experience took him to a private practice in West Texas, an Indigenous health unit in Montana, and a low-vision clinic in Arizona. With a variety of clinical experiences he looks forward to establishing himself in Northern BC as a vision provider that makes healthcare feel approachable and intentional. He is currently accepting new patients and would love to see you for an exam in the near future!

During Dr. Wale’s time off he is enjoying the outdoors whether it is skiing, camping or hiking. He also enjoys spending time with family and friends. 

Hailey

Licensed Optician / Contact Lenses
Hailey joined our team in 2017 and has since become a licensed optician. Her upbeat, energetic personality fits well within our team.

Since first starting she has found a passion for optics and ways to use her knowledge to improve patients quality of life through sight. She has grown into her position here from starting as a pre-examiner and once mastered, she moved to dispensing. She has become our contact lens fitter and now our teams licensed optician.

During the off days Hailey likes to go for walks with her family, decorate her house for current seasons, gardening and reading a good book.

Brenda has 12 years of experience working in the optical industry.

Kaitlyn started with us in May and has so far been enjoying her time helping patients in pre test before taking them to see the doctor. In her spare time you can find her enjoying all things spooky whether it be a book or movie. She likes to spend her evenings playing board games with her partner and friends.

Cathy

Licensed Optician

Cathy has been in optical for over 20 years. In that time, she has become a licensed optician in 2016. With her many years of experience Cathy is passionate about helping patients with all their needs.
