Meet the Envision Team

Dr. Brenton LooseDr. Brenton Loose

Dr. Loose graduated from University of Puerto Rico School of Optometry (Beta Sigma Kappa Honour Student) in 1998 and returned to Prince George in 1999. Optometry had been his goal since grade 10 while attending D.P. Todd Secondary School.

He has continued specialized training in pediatric vision assessment and care, Vision Therapy (treating eye teaming, eye tacking, lazy eye, visual perceptual issues, and general visual functions), and specialty contact lenses (multifocal, RGP, Orthokeratology lenses [Overnight Corneal Reshaping], keratoconus, and scleral lenses).

Dr. Loose enjoys working with the Envision team and offering comprehensive and specialized vision care. He enjoys the outdoors with his wife Tami, and their four daughters. Some of their favourite activities in beautiful British Columbia are canoeing, fishing, alpine hiking, snowshoeing and four season camping.

Dr. Vincent BudacDr. Vincent Budac

Dr. Vincent Budac and his wife Emily moved to Prince George the summer of 2015.   He graduated with honours from the University of Waterloo School of Optometry and Vision Science.

Dr. Budac grew up in Prince George and is a proud alumnus of UNBC having received his Bachelor of Science in biochemistry and molecular biology in 2009.

During the summer following his first year at the University of Waterloo, Dr. Budac took the great opportunity to join a VOSH (Volunteer Optometric Services to Humanity) mission trip to Chiapas, Mexico. The group of Optometrists, students and a local Lion’s Club was able to provide eye exams and glasses to 2500 members of the community.  This trip further invigorated Dr. Budac to use his talents and skills in the service of others.

Dr. Budac completed his ocular disease and therapeutics externship at the Veterans Affairs Medical Center in Lebanon, Pennsylvania, where he cultivated a great interest in ocular disease and dry eye while collaborating with other medical professionals and striving to provide exceptional patient education and care.

Dr. Budac and his wife Emily welcomed the birth of their son in July 2016, and are thrilled to be setting roots and building relationships in this great community.

JaniceJanice

Licensed Optician
Janice is Envision's senior optician and has been providing quality eye care products and service to the people of Northern B.C. for over twenty years. She and her family have lived in Prince George for more than 40 years. During this time, she has formed a strong relationship with her community that has allowed her to adapt to the changing trends and often unique needs of our Northern clients.

Before joining the Envision team, Janice developed a solid group of loyal patients who have followed her throughout her career. Janice became a fully licensed Optician in 1995 and has worked previously for Doctors Parker and Lo. She continues to advance her education by attending training courses, seminars and annual optical shows in B.C. with the perpetual aim of providing our patients with the best combination of style, safety, and performance in personal eyewear.

KimKim

Licensed Optician/Contact Lens Practitioner
Kim started with the practice in March 2002 when Dr. Lo established the clinic then known as Parkwood Eyewear. Working as a receptionist and Pre-Examiner for the first year in the field, she then expanded her education and knowledge and became a licensed optician in 2005.

Her next step in training was in the field of contact lens fitting, an area for which she still demonstrates immense passion. She devoted a great deal of time to her training under Dr. Patrick Lo and later Dr. Brenton Loose after he took over the practice in March 2006. After returning from her second maternity leave in September 2008, she increased her knowledge of contact lenses through more training under Dr. Brenton Loose and became the contact lens technician for the practice. In 2016 she successfully completed two more years of study and is now a licenced contact lens practitioner.

Kim's dedication to her career and years of experience make her an outstanding team member at Envision Eye Health Clinic. Her experience and knowledge together with her demonstrated commitment to the highest level of service and quality ensure every patient will be satisfied with the best fit for their eyewear and contact lens needs.
